Slide 20 of 32
Notes:
Site Plan slide on the left for these 3 slides
Beach view to north - undeveloped habitat buffer on residential development
Beach view to south - largely undeveloped shoreline to Lower Hadlock
This view shows how the project leverages other purchases of Pristine habitat to north and in creek. Most of the trees visible from the beach are to be purchased to protect fish habitat. As a result, the park purchase provides the feeling of a much larger area.
Provides 2700 Front feet of shoreline for beach access
23.7 acres of tidelands - most of the tidelands are covered with a “cap” of fill dredged from the nearby Portage Canal nearly 80 years ago.
Over 11 acres of uplands that once were the site of the Irondale Steel Mill.
