Jefferson County Comprehensive Parks Plan Resolution No 50-95 Adopted June 19, 1995 to 6/2001 RECOMMENDATION: The Parks Advisory Board recognizes the public benefit of open space, and recommends that when opportunities for the acquisition of open space arise they should be pursued. Funds, when they become available, should be applied toward lands as listed below. Chimacum Creek Conservation Easements; Preservation of Chimacum Creek, has been identified as an essential need for many years. The County, and conservation groups such as the Chimacum Watershed Council, recommend actively pursuing conservation easements to protect the quality of water in Chimacum Creek. The Creek has an active Salmon run, and is a major drainage for the mid-Quimper Peninsula.
