Notes:
In 1994 the county undertook a long process to determine a community vision for the Tri Area, as part of its GMA effort. This project came to be known as the Ken Olsen Study, and the study resulted in a vision document that included development scenarios and capital facilities cost estimates. The scenarios were expressed on different versions of this map.
Every scenario developed during this showed that the community members saw the Chimacum Creek corridor as the center of their revitalized community and in each scenario, this park (identified above by #10) was expected to be the centerpiece of the corridor project along the creek.
Currently, efforts are underway to amend the GMA Comp Plan. This effort may result in the designation of the Tri Area as a UGA. Such action would result in increased density over current zoning in much of the urbanized area east of the creek..
