WELCOME TO CARRY YOUR OWN RAINBOW |
This page gives you a chance to look at lyric sheets, and listen to samples of the songs found on our Carry Your Own Rainbow CD.
The theme of our music attempts to address topics common to the everyday lives of kids, as well as the efforts of parents and schools to help kids grow up healthy.
While not specifically written for this reason, the music's content supports Washington State's Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EARLs).

Teachers are using these tunes to teach EALRs #1 and #3, communication and social skills development. Personal growth themes can be heard in Proud of Me, Growing Up More Everyday, Scrubby Dubby Bath, and Loosth Tooth. Rhyming Song is a fun tune to help with reading skills.
The concepts of empathy, impulse control, and peaceful conflict resolution can be heard in Carry Your Own Rainbow, Sharing, Compliments, Angry, Automatic, and Doin'the Slow Moe. These songs are supportive of anti-violence themes becoming more common in school curricula. |
