Slide 4 of 32
Notes:
Site boundaries are shown in orange. Site boundaries drawn on the map part of this slide are generally "right" whereas the line drawn on the photo is "wrong” in the upper left corner of the image.
Note that the orange line is adjacent to “yellow” property that extends to the creek mouth. The yellow parcel is shown because it is part of the large block of Port Townsend Paper Company property that is in the process of being purchased by WDF. One of the most interesting parts of the development phase of this project will involve restoration of the property at the mouth of the creek. Planned activities, already funded through other processes include removal of rip-rap on this parcel.
The “yellow” property was is listed as a probable donation in the section on finances and was suggested (unofficially) as a reasonable donation from the Mill (Port Townsend Paper Company) as part of the local match for this park, but may well end up in WDF ownership.
The site plan submitted with this proposal refers to this parcel as restored habitat buffer and it is discussed here because it appears to make the most sense to include it in the park project, restoring both parcels as part of the same effort.
